Description

This is Main Street, Rathfarnham in Dublin. Identifiable businesses are a shop proudly announcing that it's a Purveyor of Spratt's Parrot Food, as well as Sunlight and Hudson's Soaps; a bakery; a shop with an NTC or NEC public telephone; P. & J. Hanlon's; C. Jolley & Sons, Rathfarnham Dairy & Select Tea Rooms; Lush's[?]; R. Cooney, Boot Makers; P.J. Gallagher.

No idea what was transported on the cart, but there's tantalising information from its signage: "Ask Vanman For Price List. Post Card brings van to your door" and the fact that the business could be reached at "Phone No. 9 Rathfarnham".
