Summary

Description
English: Plas Iolyn, near to Rhydlydan, Conwy County, Wales. Plas Iolyn is a Tudor farmhouse near Pentrefoelas. It was the home of the legendary Tomos Prys (1563-1634), a merchant and sailor, sometime pirate, who sailed the Caribbean. He brought back tobacco to Britain and claimed that he and his friends were the first to smoke tobacco on the streets of London. He was also a poet.
