Description
English: Monument to James Hogg Known as 'The Ettrick Shepherd' he was a 19th century poet and writer, having been born and worked as a shepherd in Ettrick, and was a contemporary of Sir Walter Scott, of whom he was a friend. The monument is situated at the junction of St. Mary's Loch and the Loch of the Lowes.
