Exton is a village in eastern Devon, on the east side of the broad estuary of the River Exe, from which it takes its name, five miles south-east of Exeter city centre.
The village is served by Exton railway station, for which there is an hourly train service to either Exeter Central or to Exmouth.
Facilities include a couple of bed and breakfasts, a church, a village hall, a petrol station and a pub restaurant and hostelry called the Puffing Billy.
Also nearby is the Commando Training Centre Royal Marines
