Elsehul

Elsehul is a bay half a mile wide, entered close west of Cape Pride along the north coast of South Georgia, at 54°1'S 37°59'W. It is separated from Undine Harbour by the narrow Survey Isthmus.

The name "Elsehul" dates back to the period 1905–12 and was probably applied by Norwegian sealers and whalers working in the area.

Wildlife

Elsehul is one of the islands main breeding grounds for fur seals. Macaroni Penguins, petrels and albatross also nest here.
