Dunnamore Wedge Tomb, known locally as Dermot and Grania’s Bed, is a 'wedge tomb' in Tyrone. It is found above a tributary of the Ballinderry River, found to the north of the A505 and south of the Dunnamore Road in the townland of Dunnamore, to the west of Cookstown.
Wedge tombs or 'wedge-shaped gallery graves' are a specifically Irish style of passageless, mostly unstructured megalithic structures of the late Neolithic Age and early Bronze Age.
The gallery at Dunnamore is about 26 feet long, aligned on a roughly north to south axis with the entrance at the south, it has double walling running along the sides. The main gallery has three contiguous roof slabs and there is an antechamber to the south with an unusual split entrance, shown in the image below. To the west of the tomb lies a large glacial erratic.[1]
Nearby lies a boulder burial and somewhat further the Tulnacross stone cross.
