Derrinagree, also spelled Dernagree and Derinagree, is a small village in the north-west of County Cork, in the Barony of Duhallow.

The name of the village is from the Irish Doire na Graí, meaning 'Oakwood of the cattle'.[1]

Location and amenities

Derrinagree is located just off the N72 road which links Mallow to Killarney. The nearest market towns are Millstreet five miles to the south and Boherbue four miles to the north. The village has no public transport. It does have a primary school and a Roman Catholic church. The village used to have a post office, but it closed in 2015.
