Crawick Water

The Crawick Water is a river in northern Dumfriesshire, which is an early tributary of the River Nith.
The river begins as the Spango Water, which is itself created from the union of streams at Fingland in the Lowther Hills, amongst them the Fingland Lane and the Glengap Burn. The Spango Water then flows east to Spango Hill (1,398 feet), where it turns suddenly south to Spango Bridge to become the Crawick Water.
The Crawick Water runs south and southwest, in a valley followed by the B740. It enters the River Nith by Crawick, just north of Sanquhar.
