Carnalbanagh is a small village (and a townland of 1,628 acres) in County Antrim, eight miles east of Ballymena among the the Antrim Hills. It is within the Barony of Glenarm Lower. It stands above Glenarm and is close to Slemish Mountain.

The name of the village is from the Gaelic Carn Albanach, meaning "Cairn of the Scotsmen".[1] The name can also be spelled 'Cairnalbana' or 'Carnalbana.'

Society

There is a primary school in the village - Carnalbanagh Primary School,[2]

There is an Orange Hall and a Presbyterian church. The local flute band is known as Carnalbanagh Flute Band.
