Carlita Bay

Carlita Bay is a small bay indenting the north coast of South Georgia, to the south of Enten Bay and on the north-west side of Cumberland West Bay.
The bay was called Ganse Bukta, meaning "The Goose Bay", by sealers and whalers, and later named "Horseshoe Bay", probably during the survey of the area from HMS Dartmouth in 1920.
Following work by the South Georgia Survey, the bay was re-named 'Carlita Bay after the whaling ship Carlita (or Lille Carl), a whale catcher of the Carl Anton Larsen's company, built in 1907 as Duncan Gray of Glasgow, and used for sealing and transport work.
