Borthwood is a hamlet on the Isle of Wight, in Hampshire, in the east of the island, inland from the holiday towns of Sandown and Shanklin. It is separated from the village of Winford by Borthwood Copse.
Borthwood Copse lies immediately beside Borthwood. It is a small woodland owned by the National Trust.
To the south-east of the hamlet is Isle of Wight Airport.
Borthwood includes some holiday cottages and a pet kennel. The 2011 Census considered the popualtion too small to measure on its own, counting it in with nearby Newchurch.
In past days, Borthwood was the site of brickmaking.
