Belchamp St Paul is a village and parish in northern Essex, adjacent to the border with Suffolk.

It is located approximately five miles west of Sudbury, Suffolk and 23 miles north-north-east from the county town of Chelmsford. It is near Belchamp Otten and Belchamp Walter.

The civil parish has a population of 331 (2011 census).[1] The 16th-century poet, Arthur Golding, grew up at the manor.

The Half Moon pub was the location for a number of pub scenes in the BBC drama series Lovejoy.[2]

Belchamp St Paul is the scene of the climax of M.R. James' ghost story "Count Magnus".
