Information

Barnham Windmill, also known as John Baker's Mill, is a Georgian tower windmill standing by the little village of Barham in Sussex.

The mill was built in 1790 and has continued working. The machinery intact and the mill is used in connection with a bakery, but today the mill wheels are worked by electricity. The mill today is a Grade II listed building.[1]

This is a tower type mill with a classic domed cap, protected by copper sheets. The mill is faced with tarred stucco. The sweeps and fantail, once missing,[1] have been restored.
