Barby Nortoft is a tiny hamlet a mile and a half north-east of its parent village, Barby, and crammed up against the ‘DRIFT’ freight distribution centre outside Rugby. The hamlet is in Northamptonshire, nestled up against the border of Warwickshire: the town of Rugby across in the latter county border is just to the north-west.
The West Coast Main Line passes through the area, making it popular with railway photographers.
