Ballinascarty, also known as Ballinascarthy, is a village in the west of County Cork, about four miles north of Clonakilty and nine miles south-west of Bandon, on the main N71 road from Clonakilty to Cork.
Places of interest
Nearby is the Lisselan Estate, the gardens of which are open to the public. There is also a golf course.
In 2000, a memorial to Henry Ford was raised in the town, in the shape of a Model T, to commemorate that Henry Ford's father, William, was born in Ballinascarty before emigration the United States.
