Arctowski Nunatak is one of the Seal Nunataks, south-east of the Nordenskjöld Coast, rising to above the Larsen Ice Shelf.
This feature was called Île Larsen following the discovery of the Seal Nunataks by Larsen, 11 December 1893. It was surveyed by the Swedish Antarctic Expedition, 8 October 1902, and named Nunatak Arctowski after Henryk Arctowski (1871-1958), an American meteorologist of Polish birth who served on the Belgian Antarctic Expedition; author of many publications on Antarctic meteorology. The nunatak was resurveyed by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey from Hope Bay in August 1947.
