Abshot is a hamlet in the south of Hampshire. It is found at the southern edge of a congregation of towns filling the gap between Southampton to the north-west and Fareham to the east, on the eastern side of Southampton Water.
The shore, by the open waters of Spithead, is a mile and a quarter to the south.
