The River Stour flows through Tredington and it was in this reach of the river that Britain's 2nd largest pike was caught, by Geoff Crabtree weighing in a whopping 45lb 7oz.

The village has a church, a primary School and a pub. The village shop has now closed.

Neighbouring villages include Ilmington and Halford.

The village church is St Gregory's. It has the tallest spire round about and the front door shows bullet holes from the Civil War.
