Lough Muckno in County Monaghan

Lough Muckno Lough Muckno is the largest lake in County Monaghan and its most beautiful, with stunning views of the surrounding area. It is found on the west side of Castleblayney, and extends over 1,000 acres. Within the lake are two wooded islands, Black Island and White Island, included amongst the forest trails of the shoreline, al with diverse wildlife.
