John Muir Way

The John Muir Way is a pair of long-distance footpaths in the Central Lowlands, created in East Lothian in honour of the pioneer 19th-century conservationist John Muir.

Originally the way a coastal path from Muir's birthplace in Dunbar in East Lothian to Edinburgh in Midlothian. Today the simple concept has sprouted two routes: a coast to coast path from Dunbar to Helensburgh in Dunbartonshire, and an East Lothian path running the whole coast of that county to the edge of Berwickshire.
