Glastonbury

Glastonbury is a small town in Somerset, at a dry point on the low-lying Somerset Levels, At the edge of the town and dominating landscape for many miles around is Glastonbury Tor; a solitary hill rising straight from the Levels, atop which stands a ruined mediæval chapel and at its foot the ruins of Glastonbury Abbey.

Glastonbury today is a truly bizarre place. It was once a quiet, respectable Somerset town, a pair of mediæval legends attached to the town have grown into a vast "New Age" industry. (Read more)
