Stoke Heath is a small village in northern Shropshire, to the north of Stoke upon Tern, and east of the little River Tem.

This is not a pretty, rural village alone in the fields: the village is the location of Stoke Heath Prison, a male juveniles' prison and Young Offenders Institution, each of which is as big as the village itself.
