Sapey Common is a small village in the very north-east of Herefordshire, a couple of hundred yards from the border with Worcestershire, and six miles north east of Bromyard.
The River Teme lies to the east, across in Worcestershire: the steep, wooded slope of the valley dropping to the river marks where the latter county begins.
(A new residential development, named 'The Manors of Shelsley', is in Sapey Common, though marketed as being in the heart of the Teme Valley.)
