Sandford is a hamlet on the Isle of Wight, in Hampshire. It stands to the east of Godshill and north of Wroxall, in the south-eastern part of the island, on the A3020 road between Godshill and the coast at Shanklin.
Sandford has a few businesses, including farms and a boarding cattery.[1] The Sandford Primitive Methodist Chapel stands in Sandford.[2]
History
Sandford has an entry in the Domesday Book of 1086.[3]
There were two mills in Sandford.[4]
Sandford was the site of brickmaking operations in the past.
