Loch Gair is a tiny sea-loch indenting the coastland on the west side of Loch Fyne, in Argyllshire. The loch gives its name to the village of Lochgair on its western shore.
The shores of the loch are wooded, Ardcastle Wood covering the whole east side. At the mouth of the loch, the little headland on the west side is “the Castle”. Loch Glashen inland in the woods is dammed and drained to Loch Gair through a tiny stream, called with little appearance of irony, Abhainn Mhòr.
