Brittas is a rural village in County Dublin, just north of the border with County Wicklow on the N81 road.
The name of the village is apparently from the Irish place name Briotáis meaning 'wooden parapet'.
The village sits is in the foothills of the Dublin Mountains, and about a 30-minute drive from Dublin city centre.
