Bolham is a village in the middle of Devon, in the meadows on the east bank of the River Exe and immediately north of Tiverton, within whose parish the village falls.
Adjoining Bolham to the west, and several times larger than the village, is the extensive historic estate of Knightshayes. Knightshayes is now owned by the National Trust, though in former days the owners of which at some time also owned Bolham.
The village pub is the Hartnoll Hotel. (This hotel was the object of media attention in December 2011 when a stag's head was hung up, which some visitors said was a famed stag at the time known as the 'Exmoor Emperor', which hunters has refused to shoot.[1] The head was removed after the hotel received threats.)
