By Pans Rocks in Ballycastle Bay

Ballycastle Bay is a wide bay on the north coast of County Antrim, opening into the Atlantic Ocean. In the midst of the bay's coast sits the resort town of Ballycastle.

North of the bay, and providing it with some shelter from the Atlantic waves, lies Rathlin Island. Rathlin is the northernmost part of the county, and its only inhabited off-shore island, and a ferry regularly plies the waters of the bay from Ballycastle to Church Bay.
