Aston is a village and township in Flintshire. The village is also known as Aston Park. It is near to Hawarden and Shotton, alongside the A494 road, and it is often incorrectly referred to as Higher Shotton. It is situated in a fairly urban area but there is still much countryside - Wepre Country Park is only a short distance away. In 2021 it had a population of 2850.[1]
In the village there are some shops, a hairdresser, an Indian takeaway, a bowling green, a park, a primary school and a hospital, Deeside Community Hospital. Aston Park Rangers is the local football team.
