Assaranca Waterfall
Irish: Eas a' Ranca
County Donegal
Fall: 300 feet
G66949015
Co-ordinates: 54°45’30"N, 8°30’52"W

Assaranca Waterfall is possibly the most impressive waterfall in County Donegal; a county with several gorgeous cascades.

The fall is on a modest river in the south of the county, just before the river falls into the sea on the south shore of Loughros Beg Bay. Here the waters cascade a hundred feet over the rocks to plunge into a pool at the foot of the falls.

The waterfall is very accessible, as the road runs by it. It is five miles by road from Ardara, on the road down to Maghera Beach and its caves.
