Eggleston Burn

The Eggleston Burn is a small river in the south-west of County Durham, flowing off the Durham Dales and down into Teesdale, joining the River Tees, that marks the county's southern border, just west of Eggleston.

The burn is created from the union of many streams, the main two being the Great Eggleston Beck and Little Eggleston Beck. There was once a lead mining industry in the upper streams of the Little Eggleston Beck, in its valley known as Lower Eggleshope.
