Osmic Hill rises to 1,000 feet above sea level to the west of Moraine Fjord on South Georgia.
The hill marks the north limit of an undulating ridge of hills on the west side of Moraine Fjord. Zenker Ridge, a low moraine ridge, extends along the east side of Hestesletten to Osmic Hill.
The hill was named following a survey of the area in 1951 by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey, after one of the chemical fixatives used in the preparation of histological specimens, in association with similar names in the area, such as Zenker Ridge.
