Adbury is a hamlet in the very north of Hampshire: the county's northernmost point being a few miles to the east, and with the Berkshire border, marked here by the River Enbourne, running just a few hundred yards north of the hamlet.

Burghclere (to whose civil parish Adbury has been allocated) is a mile and a half to the south. The village is about two and a half miles south-east of Newbury, the latter across in Berkshire.
