Loch Duntelchaig

Loch Duntelchaig (from the Gaelic Loch Dun Seilcheig) is a freshwater loch in Inverness-shire. It extends three miles from the south-west to its outflow in the north-east and measures up to one mile at its widest. It is 200 feet deep towards its south end.

The loch drains by way of Loch a Chlachain into the River Nairn. Loch Duntelchaig.

The loch is also the main reservoir for Inverness, sitting just half a mile from the secondary reservoir, Loch Ashie.
