Dunglow Lough

Dunglow Lough, also known as Dungloe Lough or in Irish Loch an Chlocháin Léith, is a freshwater lake in the north of County Donegal, half a mile east of Dungloe. It measures about a mile long and a thousand yards across.

The lough has five named small islands scattered in it: Flat Island, Fern Island, Black Island, Brush Island and Wren Island.

Dunglow Lough is fed on its eastern side by neighbouring Lough Craghy. The lake drains westwards into the Dungloe River.

Fish

The lough is in the Rosses fishery. Fish species in Dunglow Lough include brown trout, salmon and eels.
