Bellochantuy is a small coastal hamlet located on the A83 in Argyllshire, on the Kintyre peninsula around ten miles north of Campbeltown.
The village has a hotel, the Argyll Hotel.
Name
The origin of the place name Bellochantuy is Bealach an t-Suidhe, Gaelic for "the pass of the seat". Local folk etymology asserts the meaning of "fairy grove".
