Glenbeg Lough

Glenbeg Lough is a freshwater lake in County Cork, on the Beara Peninsula in the very west of the county.

The lough measures over a mile long and six hundred yards wide. It lies about twenty-five miles southwest of Kenmare, near the village of Ardgroom. It drains into the Ownagappul River, which in turn enters Kenmare Bay at Cappul.

Fish species in Glenbeg Lough include brown trout, salmon and critically endangered eels. The lake is part of the 'Glanmore Bog Special Area of Conservation'.
