Landing Beach

Landing Beach is a broad beach on the shore of Jordan Cove, on the south coast of Bird Island, off the western tip of South Georgia. The Bird Island Research Station stands just inland of the beach: crew and cargoes for the Station are landed here at a jetty, hence the name.
