Point Smellie is a headland which extends out from the President Beaches on the Byers Peninsula of Livingston Island in the South Shetland Islands, within the British Antarctic Territory.

Following geological work by the British Antarctic Survey in 1975-76, the headland was named after Dr John Laidlaw Smellie (b. 1953), the British Antarctic Survey geologist from 1974, who took part in the work.
