Great Malvern Great Malvern is a town in Worcestershire built on the east slope of the Malvern Hills, eight miles southwest of Worcester. The steep streets of the town run up the lower slopes of the hills. In the Middle Ages the town was dominated by its priory and the priory church survives as the parish church. During the 19th century, Great Malvern became a popular centre for hydroptherapy and the town grew substantially. The town's steeply inclined streets make a walk around the town centre strenuous but rewarding. The main street is Church Street, and from here lanes run up through wooded dells towards the bare hill tops. (Read more)
