Stratford-upon-Avon is a pretty market town in southern Warwickshire, world-famous as the home of the playwright and poet William Shakespeare.

Stratford is a popular tourist destination owing to its status as birthplace of William Shakespeare, receiving about three million visitors a year from all over the world. The Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford is one of Britain's most important cultural venues.
