Location: 67°35’38"S, 68°14’20"W
Data

Lagoon Island is the northernmost of the Léonie Islands which lies within Ryder Bay, off the south-east coast of Adelaide Island.

The island was charted by the British Graham Land Expedition in February 1936 and so named because with the island on its west side forms a lagoon. It was surveyed by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey from Stonington Island in October 1948, and was further charted by a Royal Navy Hydrographic Survey Unit from HMS Endurance in the 1976-77 season.
