Godfroy Point

Godfroy Point is a headland forming the northern point of Petermann Island amongst the Wilhelm Archipelago off the Graham Coast of the British Antarctic Territory.

The point was charted in 1909 by the French Antarctic Expedition of 1908-10 and named Pointe Godfroy after Sub-Lieutenant René E. Godfroy, of the expedition ship Pourquoi-Pas?, who was responsible for tidal and atmospheric studies on the expedition and who made a sketch survey of the area.

The point was photographed from the air by the Falkland Islands and Dependencies Aerial Survey Expedition of 1956-57.
