Axminster Hundred in Devon

Axminster Hundred is one of the hundreds of Devon, located in the east of the county, adjacent to the borders with Dorset and Somerset. It is bounded to the north by Hemyock Hundred; to the north-east by Somerset; to the east by Dorset; to the south-west by Colyton Hundred; and in the very west by East Budleigh Hundred. It had a population of 24,939 in 2011, increasing to 25,248 if detached parts are disregarded.

It comprises the following ancient parishes:

*: Thorncombe and Beerhall (Axminster) form a detached part of Devon between Dorset and Somerset.

Additionally, the ancient parish of Stockland forms a detached part of Dorset, locally situated in Axminster hundred.
