Birley is a tiny hamlet in Herefordshire, four miles south-west of Leominster, on the Honeylake Brook, a minor tributary of the River Arrow.

The parish church here is St Peter's, which dates back to the 12th century. It is a Grade-II listed building[1] and was the subject of restoration work in 2004, funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund. It is on Historic England's list of buildings at risk. [2]

Birley shares a civil parish ('Birley with Upper Hill') with a larger hamlet a mile to the east, Upper Hill. The 2011 census recorded a population of 339 in this parish.
