Matching Tye is a village which forms part of the civil parish of Matching, in Essex, found two and a half miles east of Harlow and three miles south-east of Sawbridgeworth.

The village forms a corner of a triangle with Matching (now a smaller village) to the north-east and Matching Green to the east. The Stort Valley Way and the Forest Way walking trails run through the village (and join it to Matching).

The local pub is ther The Fox Inn.[1] The village also contains the Village Hall for Matching Parish.[2]

Miscellany

The actor and comedian Rik Mayall was born at Matching Tye.[3][4]
