Woolfardisworthy (pronounced "Woolfarsworthy") is a village in the very centre of Devon, about five and a half miles north of Crediton.
According to place-name authorities, the origin of the name is probably 'Wulfheard's homestead'.[1]
The parish also contains the village of Black Dog.
