Barnard Castle

Barnard Castle is an historic town on the Tees in County Durham, twenty-one miles south-west of the City of Durham, the county town. It is named after the castle around which the town grew.

The town is found in a picturesque area of Teesdale and regularly attracts visitors from local areas and further afield. Its major sights are the castle and the Bowes Museum. (Read more)
