Stonesby is a small village and ancient parish in the Framland hundred of Leicestershire. It is six miles north-east of Melton Mowbray, and a mile and a half south-east of Waltham on the Wolds. Since 1936 it has formed part of the civil parish of Sproxton.

Stonesby broadly consists of a small number of limestone habitats concentrated around the local parish church, set amongst a broad area of arable land.

The 14th-century parish church is dedicated to Saint Peter.[1] It was renovated in 1875 by R.W. Johnson and is a Grade-II* listed building [2]
