Castle Semple Loch

Castle Semple Loch is an inland loch a mile and a half long at Lochwinnoch in Renfrewshire. It was originally part of an the Castle Semple Estate, hence its name, but it is now administered by Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park as a watersports centre. On the loch's southern shore is a bird sanctuary of the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds.

The loch is fed by the River Calder and from it flows the Black Cart Water. (Read more)
